Hello Ida! Lovely pictures! I have stopped at Mariehamn often on ferry rides between Helsinki and Stockholm but have not had the chance to explore the islands. Perhaps next summer. Your pictures look very enticing and your English prose is excellent, an enjoyable, lovely read.

I grew up in Helsinki speaking Dutch, Finnish and some Swedish, attended The English School, moved to Vancouver, Miami and New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Hawaii, Berkeley, Berlin and Beijing, but am always drawn back to Finland for holidays. Next stop Åland. Perhaps I’ll sail up on my sailboat. I am now temporarily parked in the Amsterdam area.

Congratulations again for an excellent blog and perhaps see you there! I’d like to get lost in a deep, dark forest and dream by the bright sea. Perhaps do some painting and writing.
